New tours of Holyrood, Clarence House, Buckingham Palace until end September

*NEW Holyrood Abbey tours**
Palace of Holyroodhouse*

From 18 July to 30 September, visitors to the Palace of Holyroodhouse can join a guided tour of the historic Abbey ruins and discover the building’s intriguing history from its foundation in 1128 to the
present day. The free tour lasts approximately 30 minutes and runs every hour from 10:00 to 17:00, except midday.

Clarence House is open to the public for one month only this year. After enjoying a guided tour of the five ground-floor rooms, don’t miss the rose garden and vegetable patch.

From 8 to 19 September, The Prince of Wales is opening the gardens at Clarence House, together with the gardens at Lancaster House and Marlborough House, for a ‘Garden Party to Make a Difference’. The event brings together exhibitions, interactive displays, activities and live performances by comedians, musicians and speakers in aid of
The Prince's initiative.

A favourite royal retreat for more than 300 years, Frogmore House and garden in the private Home Park of Windsor Castle, will be open to the public over the August Bank Holiday weekend. Make a day of it and
picnic in the beautiful garden overlooking the lake.

Working with a tutor, explore the detail within Dutch landscapes and discover the artists’ ability to depict mood and emotion through their work. Following a practical workshop, enjoy unique ‘behind the ropes’
access to the Palace gardens and use the surrounding buildings, hills and parkland as inspiration for your own landscape.
