Singing for the Brain - Medieval Melodies

Come and celebrate the anniversary of the opening of The Bowes Museum with us. The Museum and grounds will be brought to life with celebratory food and music, with lots of opportunities to learn new things and discover more about the Museum and its collections.

School’s out for summer! Enjoy exploring the gardens and Museum with plenty of sparkly crafts and hands on activities to entertain the whole family.

Voyage of Discovery Family Fun Day

Discover the journeys that Clara the rhino made across land and sea by joining an interactive day of story-telling, puppet making and lots more to keep you entertained!

OCTOBER

Spooky Family Fun Day

Trick or treat! There’s magical Halloween excitement for all the family, come and make a witch’s broom, create a potion, take part in the magician’s trail and watch Magic Andrew perform some tricks. There are lots of different crafty activities to keep you out of mischief!

DECEMBER

Santa’s enchanted wonderland grotto
5 – 23 December
Santa is making time in his busy schedule to come to the Museum again this December, so come and join us for a truly magical family experience.

Christmas Market
11, 12 & 13 December, 10 – 4
Join us for the feel good event of the season as the ever popular Christmas Market returns to The Bowes Museum. With stalls both inside and outside the Museum, you’re bound to find that perfect something from the local artisan producers who’ll be selling their wares over the weekend.
