Join us for some Most Secret activities based on ones and zeros. Did you know that any number can be represented using a code of only ones and zeros? Codebreakers like Bill Tutte and Tommy Flowers realised that showing letters as numbers made some ciphers easier to break. They also explored machines for codemaking and codebreaking, which counted using a number system known as binary.
Have a go at binary bingo, binary dominos, binary patterns, art and jewellery, alongside exploring some of Bill Tutte’s wider problem-solving challenges. Take part in games, challenges and crafts which explore how the codebreakers used this to their advantage.
Drop-in family activities are aimed at 5-14 year olds with their families.
INCLUDED WITH ADMISSION. Don't forget adult admission entitles you to unlimited entry for a year and kids under 12 go free.
