Star Party at Botanic Garden of Wales 16 November

The Swansea Astronomical Society return to the Botanic Garden for a Star Party on Saturday 16 November, 6pm-9pm.

They are hoping for clear skies to give a good view of the autumn constellations, galaxies far, far away and many other heavenly bodies.

Society member and Garden volunteer Colin Miles said: “This is a chance to learn about the autumn constellations and galaxies such as Andromeda (M31) and Triangulum (M33), and a host of other interesting objects.”

All the action and activities take place in and around the Great Glasshouse where there will also be a ‘scope clinic so, if you have a telescope and want help and advice on how to get the best out of it, please bring it along and society experts we will do their best to assist you.

Admission is via the main Visitor Entrance and the cost is £3 for adults and under 16s are free. Hot chocolate and Milky Ways are (along with other refreshments) available in the Med Café.
