Wicklow has a large population of hybrid Sika deer. Every autumn the stags vie for females during the rut. We shall have telescopes set up by the bridge on the White walking trail, so that anyone passing can stop and watch the action.

When: Sunday 13 October 2019 between 11am to 4pm
Please be aware that there is a hike of 3.5 kilometres with an ascent of 225 metres. Allow approximately 1˝hrs to reach the telescopes.
Please dress for the hills—wear good hiking boots and bring rain gear.
Binoculars are also useful.

This event is free of charge but please be aware that the Upper Lake car park (Wicklow County Council) has a €4 charge for car parking.
