A Summer of fun for kids at the National Galleries Scotland now through September

Kids: Cut it Out! is a fun-filled mix of art and play, taking over the grounds of the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art throughout Summer 2019. We begin this Sunday (14 July) with our first summer party family day.

Party time:
We kick start and close our summer family programme with our summer party family days. Enjoy bubbles, dancing, face-painting, sensory storytelling and more. All taking place in the grounds of Modern One. Activities are suitable for all ages.
Sunday 14 July & Sunday 11 August
Admission free

Art-making every day:
Everyone is welcome to come along to our special holiday artist-led afternoons, occurring every day. Taking place in both the new Modern One Learning Space and outside using the play area, these drop-in sessions will be packed full of craft activities and fun.
14 July-11 August
2-4pm (12-4pm for Family Days)

Pop-up play area:
Hide in the tunnels, climb the rope ladder, make your way through the foam noodles or take a seat in the boat! Our collage-inspired pop-up play area is free and is open daily for run around fun. Head to the Bothy afterwards and grab an ice cream to cool down.
Until 20 October
10am–5pm (10am-6pm during August)

Rain, rain go away:
Even if the sun stays away, there's lots to see and do inside at the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art One. Drop in to our Learning Space and grab your materials and explore the gallery. You can dry off and enjoy any snacks you have brought with you in Art Space 2. But if the muddy puddles are a joy, rather than a nuisance, pick up our Art Stomps map to enjoy the sculptures outside.
14 July-11 August
Admission free

Pick up a Draw & Explore sketchbook and make your way around our free NOW exhibition; featuring artists Charles Avery, Aurélien Froment, Anya Gallaccio, Roger Hiorns, Peles Empire, Zineb Sedira.
