Paper cutting is a wonderful art to learn and master as it's great for relaxation and mindfulness and it's totally absorbing. Time simply disappears when you get paper cutting. It is also great for hand eye co-ordination so really helps with extending drawing skills and composition skills.

Lino Printmaking with Kiran Ravilious:
Well-known designer and printmaker, Kiran Ravilious joins us again this season. Kiran uses traditional lino printmaking techniques to produce unique and vibrant hand printed designs on natural linen products including cushion covers, tea towels, lampshades, and more.
Taking inspiration from Easton Walled Gardens, learn to carve and print your design using soft-cut lino or Japanese vinyl and print your own stationery items which includes a notebook, greetings cards and 2 prints on Japanese paper. You will also produce either a tea towel or a cotton tote bag.

Screen Printing with Nicola Cliffe:
Last, but not least, we have Nicola Cliffe from Madder Cutch & Co. Nicola has an MA in sustainable textile design and with inspiration from her surroundings and a love to draw, Nicola turns her sketches into flowing repeats and screen prints them by hand in her garden studio.
During this workshop, you will learn about the screen printing process and the possibilities for creating your own prints. You will then sketch your designs using the gardens as inspiration. You will be working with natural dye colours and at the end of the day you will take home either an apron and tea towel OR 2 cushion covers with your very own screen print design on.
