Join us over the Easter holidays for illustration workshops led by artists featured in our London Stories exhibition Ė a showcase of the 100 shortlisted entries from the Poster Prize for Illustration 2019. Little ones can hear about the fascinating tales that inspired the artistsí work, learn different illustration styles, and create their own work of art to take home.
Charing Cross disused station tour:
From Thursday 25 April
Walk in the footsteps of Bond hero Daniel Craig with a Hidden London tour. You're sure to recognise Charing Cross station's disused platforms as they've been used as a secret filming location for blockbusters such as Skyfall and Paddington. You'll get the chance to walk under Trafalgar Square and explore the former Jubilee line platforms, which closed to passengers in 1999.
Museum Depot Open Weekend: Love Your Line:
Saturday 27 to Sunday 28 April
Explore a treasure trove of over 320,000 artefacts from Londonís transport history at our Depot Open Weekend in Acton this April. With a jam-packed programme inspired by Londonís iconic Tube system, youíll discover another side to your journey through fascinating lectures and tours, interactive workshops, demonstrations and fun family activities. Kids go free.
Heritage day out to Kew Gardens:
Thursday 16 May
Join us for a day of flowers and fragrance as we answer springís call and hop on a beautifully restored vintage bus to Kew Gardens. Find out more about our poster collection with a talk from our Head Curator at the Museum before a scenic heritage bus ride to Kew Gardens where you'll enjoy a private walking tour and a delicious picnic lunch. A great idea for a Mother's day gift.
District 150 Steam Train run:
Tickets on sale from Wednesday 27 March
Be transported to a bygone era of Victorian travel as we mark 150 years of London Undergroundís District line with six special steam train journeys between Ealing Broadway and High Street Kensington on 22 and 23 June 2019. Tickets for this special event go on sale at 10:00 on Wednesday 27 March.
