We are pleased to present a new permanent exhibition in the Exhibition Hall, featuring the life and work of 'History Maker' Michael Holroyd Smith. There are hands-on exhibits, digital interactives and previously unseen items from the archive.
A new temporary exhibition is presented in the Derby Assembly Rooms until 9th June 2019. 'Quinn' features a selection of work by photographer/ artist Lottie Davies. Curated by W. M. Hunt, it is part of FORMAT19 - FOREVER//NOW in partnership with QUAD.
Our vintage trams will be running as far as Wakebridge in March, and then after extensive track work, to Glory Mine from April.
World War II Home Front Event - Sun. 21st - Mon. 22nd April:
Step back in time to 1940s Britain! Collect your identity card and experience a real taste of life during the Second World War.
Historic wartime road and military vehicles will mingle with vintage trams. Visitors will be entertained with 1940s songs from singers Jayne Darling, Miss Marina Mae, Kev Mac and Johnny Victory.
Children's activities include a 'Bootcamp' for those brave enough to face Sergeant Major Marmite.
Dress in 1940s attire and you can take advantage of reduced admissions prices on the day.
