Named for Rabbie Burns' beloved poem "Tam O'Shanter", Cutty Sark is the perfect place to celebrate Burns Night.
Explore Cutty Sark, dance to a live ceilidh band and experience Tam's story through a performance from Nannie, a key character of the poem and the figurehead of Cutty Sark herself. There will also be a performance from a Highland Piper, to celebrate Scotland's National Poet.
Your ticket will include access to Cutty Sark, food, a welcome drink and the chance to dance to London's very own Licence to Ceilidh in our Sammy Ofer Gallery, underneath the gleaming hull of this historic tea clipper - which turns 150 years old in 2019!
Your Burns Night Evening
•19.00 Doors will open and you will be able to make your way into Cutty Sark to explore her many delights after hours. The bar will be open and you can kickstart your evening with a complimentary dram of scotch whisky.
•20.00 Licence to Ceilidh will perform the first half of the evening's entertainment. New to the ceilidh scene? Never fear! There will be a very helpful caller leading you through the dances, making sure you experience your ceilidh to the fullest.
•21.00 During this time there will be an interval, to let you catch your breath. Food will be available from our cafe - it will be available prior to the dancing, too, however we recommend you take the chance to enjoy your meal in the break! In the mean time, Cutty Sark's very own Nannie the Witch will be performing Tam O'Shanter in the Dry Berth, followed by a performance from one of Licence to Ceilidh's esteemed Highland Pipers.
•22.00 Once you are suitably refreshed and revitalised, Licence to Ceilidh will perform the second half of the evening's ceilidh.
