The Great Stair leading to the Palace's historic State Apartments will be draped with garlands and wreaths and lit-up with twinkling lights throughout December.
In the Royal Dining Room, the table will be decorated with flowers, wreaths and spires of faux candied sugared fruits, and laid with pieces from a silver service presented to George V and Queen Mary in 1935 to mark their Silver Jubilee.
In the Great Gallery admire the 15ft Christmas tree decked with white and silver fruits and flowers.
Our popular Carols around the Christmas tree event is taking place again this year on 11-12 December.
Throughout December we have a Christmas trail specially for the little ones. Pick up a copy and complete challenges as you visit the Palace's many rooms.
Find out all about royal Christmas traditions and the fascinating history at Holyroodhouse. On 15 December join us at the Palace for a Christmas Festival Day.
