Historic Scotland is the Scottish equivalent of English Heritage. The non-profit organization helps to preserve Scotland's built heritage including its prehistoric sites, castles and houses, and gardens. In the summer programs are put on at many of the properties. These consist of battle re-enactments, drama, music, and other events.
