Meikleour Hedge, Perthshire

Meikleour Hedge courtesy Visit Britain On the A984/A93 Perth to Blairgowrie road, near Meikleour and south of Rattray is a living hedge planted in 1746. Its claim to fame is as the tallest hedge in the world. At 100 feet (30m) high and spanning 586 yards (539m), it is quite a site.

Located beside the highway, itís easy to drive right by if you donít know itís there. Go slowly for the best viewing or find a spot to park your car and walk to really see it.
