St Peter Church at Duntisbourne Abbots, Gloucestershire

Church exterior by Barbara Ballard St Peter is a 12th century church built on a Saxon site. Traces of Saxon work can be spotted in the quoining.

Church interior by Barbara Ballard The church was restored by the Victorians, and the chancel arch dates from that time. The tower is Norman with 13th century belfry lights of pierced stone lattice work.

The stained glass windows are unusual as they can be opened. The font is late Norman.

Path to church door by Barbara Ballard There is a lych gate into the property. It has a prop in the centre to support coffins at funerals.
