Year 2005 review

Ann is a national treasure, at least from your reviewer’s viewpoint. Ann surpasses the idea of a friendly and caring hostess in all respects. Her guests’ concerns and interests are there to be satisfied, and she goes out of her way to do so. In all our travels we have met only a few guesthouse/b and b owners who fit into this category. And Ann is tops in her field.

Greenfields’ rooms are large and beautifully decorated. Care and attention has gone into choosing fabrics and fittings that give a feeling of luxury and pampering to guests. Bottled water and chocolates are a special treat. The bathrooms are large with roomy, powerful showers and are equipped with all amenities. Bath towels are oversized and luxurious. Bathrobes and slippers are provided.

In the guests’ sitting room are a cozy fireplace and television as well as books, games, and magazines.

Breakfast includes a scrumptious plate of mixed fresh fruit, cereals, and a large variety of choices for a cooked meal. Homemade bread, a selection of jams, and anything else you could desire is on offer. Three course evening meals are available with pre-booking and are the best you will find anywhere. Ann is flexible and adjusts menus for special needs diets.

As the Russell’s built their property in 2003, it and the gardens and grounds are a work in progress. Each year sees more added attractions. In 2005 the two rooms at the back of the house were enhanced with large outside decks.

You simply can’t go wrong in any way staying here. In fact you will want to take Ann and her bed and breakfast along on your journey so they will be available every night.
