Abbey Guest House front courtesy Abbey Guest House The Abbey Guest House has everything going for it. Its location is outstanding for visitors to Oxford. In fact it couldn’t be simpler or more convenient. Just across the street from the guest house is a bus stop that gets you into downtown Oxford in 15 minutes. Fantastic. You can avoid all the hassle of driving in heavy motorway traffic into Oxford and parking charges once you get there. The guest house is set back from the street by a treed parkway so there’s no heavy traffic noise.

Owner Mrs Terry Boswell is the perfect B&B hostess and truly makes you feel like visiting royalty. She goes out of her way to make her guests feel comfortable and cared for. Pleasant, cheerful, and friendly she is everyone’s best friend/mother/sister.

Abbey Guest House room If that weren’t enough, the rooms and their amenities add to the “perfect place to stay for Oxford” picture. Each room is slightly different but all are pictured on the website so choose the one you like when you book. There’s even an easy mobility room on the ground floor. Whichever room you stay in, they are all spotless, cleaned to the highest standard. And in each are a kettle with tea and coffee making facilities, a TV, radio alarm, hairdryer, iron, ironing board, and a personal security safe.

Abbey Guest House desk Best of all every room has free WiFi and a large desktop for your laptop. If you aren’t travelling with a laptop and want to check your email, a computer is provided in the downstairs sitting/eating room. In this same room is a fridge for guest use. Most important are the beds—mattresses and linens are of the highest standard making for a luxurious and wonderfully comfortable sleep.

Abbey Guest House lounge-dining room Off street private parking is provided in front of the house. Breakfasts are served in the downstairs dining room, and Terry is happy to cater to individual needs and requests. You absolutely can’t go wrong staying here; in fact make it your place to stay any time you are in the area.
