The Landmark Trust

The Landmark Trust rescues, then restores historic buildings of architectural interest that are at risk. They are then let for holidays to help pay the cost of upkeep. The Trust has a handbook with details of its properties. These need to be booked well in advance.
The National Trust

The National Trust lets out a large number of properties that vary from farmhouses to estate cottages to follies and apartments. The properties have various levels of amenities. Bookings are available two years in advance and, because of the popularity of many of them, you will probably need to book that far ahead.

The Vivat Trust is similar to the Landmark Trust in that it rescues listed buildings. There are nine properties for holiday rental in England and Scotland.
